THE FOURTH TRIMESTER AND WELLNESS COURSE
Located in Hive Design Studio on the edge of Sanderstead Recreation Ground, our antenatal classes are conveniently situated in Sanderstead and easily accessible for residents in the Croydon area.
CONGRATULATIONS ON THIS EXCITING JOURNEY TO PARENTHOOD!
I’m delighted to welcome you to our antenatal classes in Sanderstead, led by Dionne Grogan, IBCLC, paediatric nurse, and health visitor. This course, "The Fourth Trimester and Wellness," is designed for pregnant women to offer a comprehensive exploration of infant feeding and the crucial early weeks following birth. It is a three-week course, plus a social session, specifically tailored for expectant mothers. It offers a comprehensive deep dive into breastfeeding and the crucial early weeks after birth. Unlike most antenatal courses that touch lightly on infant feeding, ours provides detailed breastfeeding guidance and practical advice to help you set realistic goals and confidently overcome early challenges.
Many new mums often say they wish they'd prepared more for the initial stages of motherhood. That’s why this course covers in-depth breastfeeding support, newborn care, self-care for mums, and emotional well-being, giving you the tools to feel empowered and prepared for this transition.
By joining, you'll not only gain essential knowledge but also become part of a supportive community, ensuring you’re ready for those important early weeks with your baby. Spaces are limited, so book your place today or get in touch for more details!
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE COURSE?
Our antenatal workshops take place in the welcoming and cosy environment of Hive Design Studio—a comfortable, intimate space perfect for learning and connecting with other expectant mums in a calm and supportive setting.
This three-session course, with each session lasting 2 hours, includes:
Interactive Workshops: Hands-on, practical sessions designed to help you prepare for the fourth trimester and breastfeeding with confidence. You’ll gain essential skills and knowledge that will make the transition into parenthood smoother, with expert guidance on managing early challenges.
Strong Community Connections: Join a group of local parents due around the same time, creating a lasting support network. Share experiences, learn from each other, and build friendships that extend beyond the course—giving you emotional support and encouragement both during and after pregnancy.
Comprehensive Learning: Dive deep into the realities of breastfeeding and the fourth trimester. From positioning techniques to understanding your baby’s needs, you’ll leave feeling empowered with practical strategies to approach those early weeks confidently.
Mindfulness and Relaxation Tools: Learn key relaxation techniques to manage stress and maintain balance. You’ll also receive MP3 tracks to continue practising mindfulness at home, helping you stay calm and centred during the postpartum period.
Goodie Bag: Take home a thoughtfully chosen goodie bag filled with items to support your breastfeeding journey and baby care during the early days—everything you need to feel nurtured and prepared.
Complimentary Refreshments: Enjoy refreshments at each session, ensuring you stay comfortable and energised while learning.
Bonus Postnatal Meet-Up: After your babies arrive, we’ll arrange a peer-led fourth session, offering a chance to reconnect with your group. Without the workshop leader present, you’ll be free to share experiences, ask questions, and offer support to each other in a relaxed, informal setting.
This course offers not just practical preparation but also a community that supports you as you move into parenthood. Leave feeling confident, informed, and connected—ready to embrace the fourth trimester and beyond.
